Gonthier Agroecology Lab

We partner with small coffee producers, traders, coffee roasters, and consumers to incentivize the sustainable production and trade of coffee. Our goal is to help farmers achieve high cup quality, prices that sustain their livelihoods, and diversification strategies that hedge risks. Our aim is to connect small coffee farmers with Kentucky coffee roasters and match needs and expectations for coffee quality. We hope to act as a nexus for collaboration within the Kentucky coffee industry by holding outreach events that facilitate improved sourcing, and generating enthusiasm around coffee community, education, and research.
